The runner or team who raises the most money by February 11, 2012 will receive

“3 days 4 nights” stay at Tanglewood Resort and Conference Center, staying in the owners 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath villa. Your vacation includes 2 rounds of golf for 4 and $200 in Tanglewood “Dollars” to be enjoyed at the resort.

Event Schedule:
6:00-7:30 Packet Pick-up from Huntsville State Park Lodge
8:00 All races begin

Packet pick-up:
Thursday, February 9th at the Trail Run Dinner
Friday, February 10th at the new Fleet Feet in the Woodlands from 10-7:00 pm
Saturday, February 11th 6-7:30 am race day

Races: will include Marathon, Marathon Relay, and 1/2 marathon(Join us even if you have to do some walking. You have 8 hours to complete any of the events)

Cost: $70 early registration (before Dec. 31) and $85 after Dec. 31 for the marathon, or $250 donations raised to Orphan Hope for the safe house and no entry fee $50 early reg., and $65 later for 1/2 marathon, or $250 donations $140 per 4 man team for the relay for early reg. or $160 late reg., or $250 donations as a team.

Medals: There will be finisher medals for all participants of the marathon, half-marathon and marathon relay.

T-shirts: Our event shirt will be a long-sleeve tee that you can wear throughout the winter.

Water stations: There will be 4 stations throughout the course. Water, Gatorade and some snacks will be available at the stations.

Awards: We will have awards for the top male and female overall, top male and female masters in both the full marathon and half marathon.We will present awards to the top three finishers both male and female in the following age groups for the marathon and half-marathon: 19& Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. We will also present awards to the top three team finishers in the marathon relay.

Accommodations: Comfort Inn and Suites located at 631 I-45 SouthHuntsville, TX, US, 77340, is offering all runners with the Orphan Hope Marathon a reduced rate of $99.99. The rooms are suites that have a microwave and fridge and sleep up to 6 people. Be sure and mention that you are part of the Orphan Hope Marathon to get this reduced rate.
